Your gift turns creativity into courage.
Community Education & Research Trust helps young people across the Waikato stand against violence through art, writing, mentoring and leadership. Every donation puts materials in their hands and a platform under their voice.
Every gift buys something a young person can hold.
Funds raised support the No to Violence programme: workshops, materials, and the celebration event where students show their work to the community.
Mentoring workshops
Public speaking and short video storytelling sessions led by experienced mentors, so students can share a message with confidence.
Art supplies and resources
Paints, paper, canvases and learning materials, so cost is never the reason a student sits out.
Certificates and prizes
Recognition for the students whose work stands out, and a certificate for everyone who takes part.
Venue and coordination
Hall hire, display panels and the people-hours behind the exhibition and creative writing showcase.
The digital booklet
Selected poems, stories and essays published in a digital collection the students can share with family and school.
Three ways to back young people in the Waikato.
Give through Givealittle
Our appeal is hosted on Givealittle, New Zealand’s charitable giving platform. Donations go to CERT’s verified bank account, and you receive a receipt by email.
Fundraise for us
Set up your own page on Givealittle and rally your workplace, school or sports club behind the appeal. Everything you raise flows into the same cause.
Partner or sponsor
Businesses and community groups can sponsor materials, prizes or venue costs, or support the programme in kind. We would love to talk it through.

Help a young person say no to violence.
Whatever you can give goes straight into workshops, materials and a stage for their work. Thank you for standing with them.
Appeal open until 30 September 2026. Community Education & Research Trust, Hamilton, Waikato.
